United States captain Corey Pavin has announced that Tiger Woods will make the team after a recent improvement in form.

With eight of the top players guarenteed a place in the team and an extra four more captain’s picks its likely that Woods
will feature with him currently lying in seventh in the points race.

Wood’s had taken time out of the game due to extra-marital affairs and recently returned to the game in April of this year.
It took Woods a while to start making the impact we had expected but showed he may be reaching this old form by finishing
only 3 shots off the lead at the US Open.

“I expect him to go up on that list and improve his position and he’ll make the team no problem” said Pavin

Woods had told a news agency in the build up to the upcoming AT&T National Tournament that even though things had calmed down
there were “certainly still distraction” in Woods life away from the golf scene.

Although Woods has made a massive impact on the tours and has collected many majors, he has not had the best success at the
rider cup. This current record sits at 10 wins, 13 losses and two halves from the five events he attended.

Both sides of the pond will be looking forward to the biennial encounter taking place between 1 – 3 of October.
