Corey Pavin has decided on his Ryder Cup captains pick, the American has chose Tiger Woods and Rickie Fowler.
Tiger Woods will be at Celtic Manor in October representing the American team after missing out on automatic selection with a string of poor performances. He will be looking to add to his illustrious career victories of 71 tours and 14 majors with a victory over the Europeans and a return to form.
Whilst Woods may have seemed like the obvious choice for the captain Rickie Fowler on the other hand was not such an obvious choice. The young American is yet to have won any tour event and Pavin will be looking for some youthful drive to take forward the team. It will be the first time a PGA Tour rookie makes the Ryder Cup team and Pavin will be hoping that he doesn’t come to regret it.
Woods and Fowler will join Zach Johnson and Stewert Cink in a bid to retain the Ryder Cup.
