Hard to believe but there are people addicted to something other than drugs and smoking, these people prefer… sausages instead.
David Harding, 47, is a happy married man with three children and a bookkeeper job. He has almost no problems at all, except one – he is a fan of bangers from the very childhood and cannot bear the thought of living a day without them.
The sausage man said he’s been heavily eating frankfurters from the age of 5, and no dish went without them in his family. David spent £700 a year on his favorite McWhinney’s Irish pork sausages. He didn’t think this was something abnormal and odd until the day his wife couldn’t prepare him sausages for dinner which caused him burst of anger.
Mr. Harding decided it was time he should do something about it and called for psychological help. Since then he has already spent £1,876 on counseling and hypnosis. The specialists say his addiction is not a physical one but have failed to find the true reason for his habit.
David, himself, thinks this means he just likes sausages in every way and doesn’t think it is wrong to like them so much. However he understands he should do everything possible to control his attraction to bangles.
Kevin McWhinney, the boss of McWhinney’s Sausages, said he was glad to know there was a person who liked their products so much but hoped David would find a method to control his addiction.
