U.S. Open winner Rory McIlroy will not be able to perform until next week due to a wrist tendon injury and has used his free time to arrange his love life. The golfer who suffered an injury in the first round of this month’s PGA Championship has confirmed to the media that he is dating world No. 1 women’s tennis player Caroline Wozniacki.

The 22-year-old player feels enthusiastic about his golfing career, saying that he is 85 percent healthy and plans on playing in about 18 PGA Tour events next year. McIlroy also said that he would be thrilled if his girlfriend, Caroline Wozniacki, won the US Open in tennis and both of them owned U.S. Open titles.

Rory McIlroy split with his long-time girlfriend Holly Sweeney before the British Open and rumors of the romance between the Danish tennis star and the Northern Irishman started going around soon afterwards after flirtatious tweets exchanged by the athletes on Twitter.

It is only natural that Caroline and Rory clicked. Obviously, they have much in common, being young professional athletes with a top position in the sports world. Caroline, 21 and Rory, 22, would hardly be able to find somebody with more matching interests.

The tennis start is currently defending her title at New Haven Open and says that she would love some piece of advice from Rory already has a major title under his belt.
