Leeds United have expressed their disappointment at their interest of Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack being made public. Leeds United boss Simon Grayson has never been one to make public his deals before the final deal has been done.
On Tuesday a deal was made between the two clubs for the Scottish striker but Grayson would have preferred to keep a lid on the situation until a full deal between the club and player had been reached. McCormack’s agent revealed the deal during an interview the previous evening which forced Leeds United into making their bid public on their official website.
“We do business then we announce it because sometimes things don’t work out for whatever reason.
“I can only say we have agreed a fee with Cardiff and we are meeting the agent this week for discussions.
“I don’t know if the agent put it out as a way of putting pressure on us, but it’s been made quite clear we are displeased because it’s not how we do business.”
As well as McCormack United are looking at Cardiff City midfielder Gavin Rae who may travel to Elland Road for talks after Cardiff City manager Dave Jones suggested the player was interested.
